This patient came to us with a common concern: no matter how much sleep she got, she still looked tired. Heavy, hooded upper eyelids were casting shadows and creating the appearance of fatigue that didn’t match how she actually felt.
She underwent an upper blepharoplasty to address the excess skin and hooding weighing down her upper lids. The result, seen in her post-operative photos, is a refreshed, natural-looking eye with a well-defined upper eyelid crease and a more open, alert appearance.
Our approach to upper blepharoplasty is conservative and precise. Rather than removing as much skin as possible, we tailor the resection to preserve a natural eyelid contour, avoiding the hollow, over-done, or “skeletonized” look that can result from overly aggressive skin removal. The goal is always a result that looks like a refreshed version of the patient — not a different person, and not “surgerized.”
